It just gets me in trouble.

it's raining again.. not that it stopped completely today.. or yesterday, for that matter. the skies wearing this season's hottest neutral shade.. the raindrops imprison me in the comforts of my apartment. The challenge of leaving my bed in the morning has been done yet the white noise keeps drawing me back in. My feet refuses to feel wet and cold. They seem oblivious to their responsibility of deciding. The decision to go to class rests solely upon them.

Rest seems to be doing me good but boredom is starting to make its presence felt. Cough and colds have been keeping me under house arrest for quite some time now but i'm feeling a little better since. My 3x a day candies are doing well to set me free though i'm beginning to get used to the confines of these four walls.

I've forgotten what good coffee tastes like. It took a 38php cup + refill to make me remember.

I have to rant. Why oh why does the university deprive the students of quality electric fans?!!? I have 2 classes in that pugon called CAS Annex 1!

I have this theory why "Thin is in."
Ever wonder why glossies feature skinny models and celebrities? Why the person next to you would want to be the next Kate Moss (minus the junkie character)? Why Kankunis and Chinese herbal slimming capsules are selling fast?

Think, if Big is the ideal figure, then people would eat more and more just to achieve greatness, literally, then food supply around the world would be a such major problem, not that it isn't a problem now..and there will be millions more who would starve to death just because everyone is trying to bulk up.

Well, that and people would die quicker with complications relating to obesity and heart diseases.

I was in your arms, my whole being shaken by tears. It was that single thought that terrorized and shattered me. Echoes of that phrase soothed the pain. Forever will I keep those words you whispered to me...those words that at that moment restored my inner calm.

Outside, it became still. The skies having doused troubles, seemed pleased with itself.

Then just so slowly, it was sunny in our world again.

my friends and i were gathered tonight at the most memorable stairs in front of our unit brainstorming for a good concept for a business. we were helping out one of our friends, who informed us that she and her mom are going to venture into a business here in crazy elbi. diner, global themed resto, and restobar are the things we came up with. hmm.. ano pa kaya ang wala dito sa elbi na establishment na gusto ng mga tao?

ikaw, ano ang gusto mo na wala pa dito sa elbi? (oh, we already ruled out Starbucks, Italianni's and the like)

Listening.. that's what I learned from all my classes. I'm planning to conduct my listening exercise with you as my subject. Kaya ko naman ang 2 hours na pakikinig sa kung ano man ang sasabihin mo.. I'll try hard to decipher hidden meanings and such. I promise. Maybe I can even squeeze something out of you. Maybe a secret you've been keeping from me..who knows?

Sana minsan makinig ka rin naman sa ibig kong sabihin. Di na naman ako hihingi ng 2 hours eh..

Following my post on candies, let's make a trip down memory lane with chichirya this time. Even if you knew they are composed of half air and half product, you'd still buy!

The 1 peso chichirya hall of fame:

Sweet corn - the small pack with round yellow balls. In my opinion, this tastes sooo much better than the big pack by Regent.

Piknik - Cheesy stars in that yellow wrapper with a picnic pasket. This sure can get your hands all tartrazine-y yellow!

Cheese Hotdogs - i love this! usually comes in twos, barrel-like and had a weird but likable cheese taste. sometimes i chance upon the makunat ones which i still find delicious!

Kobi - I remember this having a blue wrapper. Potato fries come cheap!

Rinbee - really thin cheese sticks that i find so easy to munch down!

I know there's more that I just can't seem to remember. help me refresh my memory?

When I was younger I found the neighborhood sari-sari store very fascinating. With jars filled with colorful confections and biscuits and the ceiling with dangling clusters of junk food, I thought it was paradise. It was then that I took pleasure in choosing between candy or chichirya (sometimes I chose both) and found happiness in a wrapper or bag.

Candy rollcall... Remember these?

Lipps - that red/pink hard candy that colors your mouth wild! You'd eat this and after you do you stick out your tongue for everyone to see!haha This had a hint of a bitter taste dontcha think?

Big Boy - my favorite gum! This has a red wrapper, if memory serves me right. I think this is the perfect soft gum.. i remember that tv commercial with 2 kids "small.. big.. and Big Big. Big Boy!" and then there's this little kid sayin, "I don't want a small bubble gum" Cute! I can't find this gum anywhere anymore. :(

Peter's Butterball - how can you not remember this?hehe I noticed this is usually served at wakes..


Tarzan - nevermind that it's rock-hard! it tastes good! my dad says this has been around even during his day..and I still see these being sold in some sari-sari stores!

Frutos - comes in different fruit flavors! lemon, strawberry, orange, and melon. My favorite would be lemon and melon :)

Nougat - nutty white soft candy (although when I would buy it from the store it was always rock hard) that's not too sweet..just right.

Yakee! - I am very fond of sour food so it is no surprise that I fancy this. this is a rip-off of my favorite sour candy, Crybaby. When I couldn't find Crybaby around, this is the closest substitute.

Bazooka - shrunken Bazookas have arrived...and WITHOUT the comic strips we used to collect. Gone are the big comic strip Bazookas of the past. *I recently found imported Bazooka WITH COMIC STRIPS!!!!! hehe

How to get a headache (and get pissed off at yourself at the same time):

Step 1: decide to be a responsible student and proceed to work on tasks
Step 2: log on to blogger.. try different combinations of usernames and passwords. Wait and find out after 10 valuable minutes that none of those you can think of work.
Step 3: check your blog url listed on the class' list and realize that it's not the correct one.
Step 4: Learn that you have actually have 5 accounts on blogger..all of which you vaguely remember.
Step 5: Figure out that you have to inform everyone about your correct blog address.

!!!TRIED AND TESTED!!!

I don't need to say that I have wasted precious time doing everything else and nursing this helluva headache.
